Here are a few tips for parents to help Munchkins get the most out of every Movin’ Munchkin class.
- Have a Healthy Munchkin Friendly Breakfast

Blend wet ingredients in blender for best results.
- Wear Movin’ Friendly Clothes
Wear light clothes that won’t interfere with your munchkins ability to keep movin’! Indoor shoes or socks with grips on the bottom help your munchkin with grip to get the most out of balance boards, running, jumping on the bosu balls, etc.
- Have water on hand
Bring your favorite reusable water bottle or have a drink at the water fountain before and after class! Drinking water will help you and your munchkin stay hydrated so you can make the most out of class – and in life!
- Help Your Munchkin Learn the Activities
Help guide your Munchkin through the activities allowing room for them to grow and learn with guidance and encouragement!
- Do the Activities with your Munchkin.
This is a safe place to let your inner Munchkin be free so be silly with your munchkin! Get up and dance, jump and run with your munchkin. Seeing you so involved will help your munchkin excel and get the most out of class.
- Use Proactive Language!
“You try, I’m right here to help if you need it.”
“Let’s [jump/run/play] together!”
“I’ll show you and then you show me how to do it!”
- Follow your Munchkins Lead.
Every munchkin is learning in their own unique way! Understanding that every child experiences and expresses things differently will help them excel in their own way. Along with their personality, there are other circumstances like mood, sleep or just general munchkin shenanigans that can influence behaviour. We all know how munchkins can be, so helping them will vary from class to class!
- Try it at Home!
Set up your own obstacle course at home! Inside with couch cushions, pillows, chairs and stools or outside build snow hills and slides to climb on. Practicing the skills you learn in class will help keep up a healthy and active lifestyle!
